Firozabad:
The Samajwadi Party and the Congress are pulling out all the stops in the campaign for the Firozabad Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh.
A filmy battle is on in Uttar Pradesh for the Firozabad seat, it's a prestige issue between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party.
The SP has unleashed all it has got.
"You have to make sure our daughter-in-law wins with a big majority," said Sanjay Dutt, Bollywood actor.
The SP candidate is Mulayam Singh's daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav and Firozabad is the party's stronghold, as it has not lost here in the last 10 years.
SP's campaigning has become shrill as it feels the jitters from the surprise Congress candidate, former actor and rebel Samajwadi Party leader Raj Babbar.
"The Congress has not done anything for Uttar Pradesh. Their candidate is a traitor, let me say that loud and clear," said Jaya Bachchan, Bollywood actor.
The Bollywood brigade here to support Dimple Yadav has no doubt managed to pull in the numbers but it has not impressed a crucial section of Firozabad's electorate - the Muslim vote.
"The Samajwadi Party has held this seat for 10 years but nothing has happened in the name of development," said Amir Khan, City president, Muslim League, Firozabad.
And that is a worry for SP, the nearly 2 lakh Muslim vote is critical for a win.
