First batch of pilgrims from Kashmir who went for Hajj were welcomed by Mehbooba Mufti

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today received the first batch of pilgrims who returned from Saudi Arabia after performing the annual Haj pilgrimage at the Srinagar International Airport in Srinagar.
Ms Mehbooba welcomed and congratulated the Haj pilgrims on their smooth performance of 'Arkan-e-Hajj' during the holy pilgrimage, an official spokesman said.
As many as 6,457 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir performed the annual Haj this year and the first batch of 340 pilgrims, who left for the pilgrimage on August 10, arrived in two flights.
The return Haj flights from Saudi Arabia to Srinagar will operate till October three with two daily flights, the spokesman said.
Arrangements to facilitate hassle-free arrival of Haj Pilgrims and subsequent smooth journey from the airport to their respective destinations have been put in place, the spokesman said.
