Srinagar:
Five militants and two Army jawans were killed in a fierce gunbattle in Baramulla district of North Kashmir on Friday.
The encounter broke out in Rafiabad village, 65 kms from Srinagar, in the wee hours when militants hiding in a cluster of houses opened fire on an Army search party, Defence Spokesman Lt Col J S Brar said.
He said five militants and two Army jawans were killed in the gunbattle which was still going on when last reports came in.
