Ranchi: Five naxalites, including two women, were killed during a gunbattle with security forces in Jamshedpur district in Jharkhand on Thursday.
The gunbattle took place in Baiparmada village in the district at around 8 am when a joint team of CRPF and local police raided the area, a CRPF spokesperson said.
Three men and two women naxalites were killed in the firefight, the spokesperson said.
Four rifles and one pistol were recovered from their possession, he said.
