Vadodara: A Delhi-bound Indigo Airways flight from Pune made an unscheduled landing in Vadodara after a passenger onboard suffered a heart attack, official sources said on Wednesday.
The passenger, identified as Rishipal Sharma (60), suffered heart attack mid-air following which permission was sought for making an unscheduled landing at the airport in Vadodara at midnight on Tuesday, they told PTI.
Subsequently, the plane was allowed to land and Mr Sharma was given first aid and then rushed to a city hospital where he died, the sources said.
He was accompanied by his son Manoj, they said, adding that after a short halt, the plane took off for Delhi.
