New Delhi:
The Ministry of External Affairs has broken its silence over making the Sharm-el-Sheikh public. Right to Information (RTI) applicant SC Aggarwal received a call from the Ministry of External Affairs asking him when he would like to see the files, which means the ministry is not contesting the CIC order.
Aggarwal has to see the files before January 25 as that's when the order lapses. He had sought the identity of the officials involved in the drafting of the document.
The statement had kicked off a row as India allowed a reference on Balochistan to figure in the document. Incidentally, the Ministry of External Affairs does not keep record of people who draft documents.
