The condition of former BJP leader Jaswant Singh, who suffered head injuries, remains critical
and he is still in the Intensive Care Unit of the Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi, Defence Ministry officials said.
The 76-year-old former defence minister, who is in coma, was admitted to the hospital at around 1 am on Friday after he fell down at his residence. He continues to be on life support system.
Mr Singh, who had also handled external affairs and finance ministry portfolios during the previous NDA regime, was expelled from BJP early this year after he decided to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Barmer in Rajasthan as an independent after being denied a party ticket.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had visited Mr Singh at the hospital on Saturday.
