Coimbatore:
Former Cabinet Secretary TSR Subramanian was today admitted in hospital after he complained of discomfort while addressing a conference of Planters' Association of Tamil Nadu in Coimbatore.
As soon as he started speaking, Mr Subramanian, chief guest at the 62nd conference of PAT, complained of discomfort, after which the organisers led him to a chair on the dais.
After first aid, the septuagenarian was taken to a nearby private hospital where he was diagnosed as suffering from vertigo. Hospital authorities said there was no need to worry, the organisers said.
"He is being kept under observation," they confirmed.
