Delhi: Hemanand Biswal, Congress MP from Sundargarh in Orissa, was attacked by his personal assistant Prabhat Sharma. The attack took place in the early hours on Thursday at his house in the capital.
The MP is unhurt and the accused has fled.
However, the MP and the police have come up with different versions of the incident.
Biswal claims that his PA was involved in renovation of his house and had stayed overnight. At 4 am, they had an altercation as Prabhat was trying to open a briefcase. Biswal claims that he tried to stop the PA, who then pulled out a gun.
The police, however, said that there was no evidence of any altercation and that the PA has been out of Delhi for a month.
