New Delhi: Top global entrepreneurs are discussing the present and future scenarios at Start Up India, government's mega meet.

Here are the highlights of the discussion
  • Bhavish Aggarwal, OlaCabs: Lack of skilled manpower was one of the biggest challenges we faced.
  • The more customer insights you have, the more your product can grow and improve
  • Trust and safety are key for our industry, we have to keep improving tech, design, compliance
  • The challenge we face is in talent - takes bandwidth and time to get and build
  • Kunal Bahl, Snapdeal: Over the next 3 years, we want to create 1 million successful online entrepreneurs.
  • (On early stage entrepreneurs ): The real insight is to look into what is the real problem and then work towards it.
  • Sometimes it can be very demotivating when you don't see that early traction. People will keep asking you, what's going on?  Why you quit your job, when are you getting married? So let it bog you down. If you believe what you are doing is solving a real problem even for 5 people, its good enough to pursue it for a period of time. Keep taking feedback, keep talking to your customers. You will find the solution. Don't give up
  • Dilip Chabria, Team Indus:  It has been an incredible journey. I hope the kind of response we got today, we can achieve much more.
  • People we interviewed actually interviewed us to see if we were serious about getting to the moon!
  • Our motto: aspire, believe, create!
  • Kunal Bahl, Snapdeal: It pays to get good customers at the beginning of your early stage.
  • Varsha Rao, AirBnB:  We grew quite organically for many, many years. It's important to have customers who love you. Its only with time that the business comes in.
  • Meet your customers week to week, day to day to find out their problems and how they change. Get close to your community, understand what consumers want'
  • Get 100 customers you love rather than 1M customers who only like you
