Chandigarh: Four bottles of acid were found outside the Chandigarh residence of Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari today.
While sources claimed that the acid was to be used to attack the minister, the Chandigarh Police ruled out any conspiracy.
"There is no information like this. The police checked the bottles. They are toilet cleaners," said DSP Vijay Kumar.
"There were four bottles in total," he added.
Mr Tewari enjoys Z-category security cover and visits his Sector 19 house in Chandigarh often.
Police personnel are posted outside his residence for security reasons.
