Darjeeling:
The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has declared a four day bandh in Darjeeling this morning.
The Gorkha group is spearheading a renewed agitation for the separate state of Gorkhaland.
The bandh will be in force in the three hill subdivisions of Darjeeling, Kurseong and Kalimpong as well as the region in the foothills.
The bandh call comes just days after the Centre announced that it would initiate the process for the formation of the separate state of Telengana.
No vehicles other than that of the district magistrate and the superintendent of police will be allowed.
The Morcha has said it will not disrupt traffic headed for the neighbouring state of Sikkim.
