Four rapes in Uttar Pradesh, victims include three-year-old girl
Jhansi: Atrocities against women continue to dominate headlines in Uttar Pradesh. Four cases of rape have been reported from different district of India's biggest state in less than 24 hours.

A Dalit girl in Jhansi has alleged that she was gangraped by a group of upper caste men. The victim, who is a minor, says the men dumped her in a nearby forest after raping her.

A case has been registered after the medical examination confirmed rape. But it took the victim two days and several rounds to the police station to get her rape complaint filed. The accused are absconding.

In the Barabanki district, a three-year-old, who went missing during a function, was brutally raped and left to die in a field. The police had to take the aid of sniffer dogs to help crack the case.

The sniffer dogs lead the police from the crime scene to the house of a man named Ranjit. The police found the alleged rapist hiding in the house and arrested him.

In Noida, a suburb of Delhi, a woman was allegedly raped and abandoned by two men yesterday. Her medical report has confirmed rape, and one of the accused has been arrested by the police. (Read)

According to the police, the 32-year-old woman was returning to her Sector 93 residence at around 8:30 pm on Saturday night, when the two men forcibly pushed her into a car and raped her in a secluded spot in a jungle. They later allegedly dumped her near Kalindi Kunj in Delhi around 4 am.

The victim is a widow and has a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who lives with her grandmother in Darjeeling.

In the Kannauj district, a 10-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by four people including her maternal uncle.

"They caught me...They took me inside the room and raped me...He is my maternal uncle," said the victim.

A case has been registered and investigation is going on.
