Canning, West Bengal: At least four ruling Trinamool Congress supporters were killed and three others injured in an attack in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district on Saturday night.
Superintendent of Police Prabin Kumar Tripathy said the incident took place at Raideghi when Trinamool supporters were holding a meeting.
The attackers opened fired on Trinamool supporters and then fled the scene.
The injured have been admitted to the Raideghi hospital.
The police have launched an investigation.
