Kochi:
A French yacht has been seized by CISF personnel after it was found in the vicinity of the Kochi port area without valid documents.
The yacht was seized on Friday night, CISF sources said on Saturday.
Owner of the yacht 'ANDRANA', Pignol and a US national Malcolm Russell Williamson who were on board, are being questioned by Customs and Immigration officials, the sources said.
Pignol said they had set sail from Oman and were on their way to Madagascar before they landed near Kochi due to rough seas and bad climatic conditions.
The yacht was seized from near the Port administration building at nearby Wellington Island.
The two occupants had only passports and no other documents, including visa, the sources added.
