New Delhi:
A fresh hurdle has come up in the impeachment proceedings of Calcutta High Court judge, Justice Soumitra Sen.
A Supreme Court judge, Justice B K Jain, has withdrawn from the impeachment motion of Justice Sen. He was convenor of a three-member committee probing allegations against Justice Sen.
A committee to probe allegations against Justice Sen will now have to be formed once again.
Justice Sen has been accused of misappropriating money and judicial misconduct. Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan has recommended that Justice Sen be impeached.
