PM Modi at Vigyan Bhavan:

Yoga is a state of being, not a sellable commodity.

Yoga may have originated in India but it draws its energies from the millions who practice it around the world.

In a world of fear, Yoga creates courage and strength. A healthy body and disciplined mind is the foundation of a world without fear.

A Yogi is a person who is in harmony with himself, his body, surroundings and nature.

There is ample evidence that Yoga helps in combating stress and chronic conditions. Benefits of Yoga are manifold.

If the body is a temple of the mind, Yoga creates a beautiful temple.

Yoga is not an institution, it is a matter of faith.

The body is a vehicle for the realization of the Supreme Being. The Gita says - Yoga is excellence at work.

I can tell you with confidence that Yoga is the medicine to live life to the fullest.

The reach and spread of Yoga spans continents and cuts across differences of colour, caste and creed

As I stand here today, the International Day of Yoga is being celebrated across the world, millions of people are participating in this event

"The world is swamped with violence, aggression and bloodshed on one hand and crass materialism on the other, Yoga now comes as a fresh breath.", said classical dancer and yoga practitioner Sonal Mansingh at the NDTV studios.

PM Modi speaks:

Did anyone ever think that Rajpath can become 'Yogapath'?

We are not only celebrating a day but we are training the human mind to begin a new era of peace.

I bow down to the sages who encouraged Yoga through centuries.

Yoga is not just for exercising limbs. If that was true, people working in the circus would be called yogis.

There will be no part of the world that will be untouched by Yoga today.
