G20 Summit 2023 Delhi Live: The 2-day summit will conclude today.

PM Modi handed over the G20 presidency to Brazil's Lula Da Silva, marking the end of the G20 Summit in Delhi. The Prime Minister handed over the ceremonial gavel to the Brazilian President to mark the transfer of the Presidency at the third G20 session "One Future" at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi's Pragati Maidan. With this, the two-day mega conclave of world leaders under India's G20 Presidency in the national capital came to an end.

Day two of the Summit began with the G20 leaders, including US President Biden, UK PM Rishi Sunak, and Canada's Justin Trudeau gathering at Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The leaders, along with PM Modi, laid ceremonial wreaths at the Gandhi Memorial and held a tree plantation ceremony at Bharat Mandapam.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi aired his concern about the "continuing anti-India activities of extremist elements in Canada" during a bilateral with President Justin Trudeau on the sidelines of G20.

Extremist elements in Canada are "promoting secessionism and inciting violence against Indian diplomats, damaging diplomatic premises and threatening the Indian community and their places of worship", PM Modi told Mr Trudeau, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva said global recovery is slow and uneven and underscored the need to pursue sound policies for financial stability and growth-oriented structural reforms.

G20 members must lead by example in delivering on the promises of $100 billion per year for climate finance, supported by strengthening Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), Ms Georgieva said at the Summit.

The International Monetary Fund has secured over $40 billion to support vulnerable countries through its Resilience and Sustainability Trust to build climate resilience, she said.
