New Delhi:
A BJP delegation, led by President Nitin Gadkari, will visit Israel next week to study various development projects, the party said in a statement here today.
The delegation will be leaving for Israel on Monday on a six-day "goodwill visit" to study development projects in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, water management, agro-processing, alternative energy sources, nanotechnology and biotechnology, the party said.
Gadkari will be accompanied by a delegation of senior party functionaries including General Secretary (organization) Ramlal, General Secretary and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Om Prakash Dhankar, President, BJP Kisan Morcha, it said.
Gadkari will meet Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Intelligence Affairs Dan Meridor, the Leader of the Opposition and former Foreign Minister Tzippi Livni.
He will also be meeting members of Likud Party and head of parliamentary India-Israel Group, Rachel Adatto.
Gadkari and his delegation will also be visiting Israel Aerospace Industries where they will be given a presentation on counter-terrorism by Homeland Security, the statement added.
