New Delhi: BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Monday wrote a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa expressing concern over the attack on Sri Sri Ravishankar and asked him to beef up the spiritual guru's security.
The BJP President called up Yeddyurappa to get details of the incident that took place on Sunday and expressed concern.
"Gadkari is disturbed that even spiritual gurus are not safe in the country. He asked the Chief Minister to provide adequate security to Sri Sri Ravishankar," a source close to the BJP president said.
Sri Sri Ravishankar escaped a bid on his life when an unidentified gunman shot at his car when he was returning after delivering a discourse, an ashram official said.
