Patna:
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will adopt Gularia village in Bihar's Khagaria district to help improve the socio-economic condition of the people, official sources said here.
At present, the village, inhabited by mainly Mahadalits, does not have even basic civic amenities like running water, electricity, schools and health centres.
The sources said, Bill Gates would come to Bihar on Wednesday and formally make the announcement. He would also meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to discuss development issues.
