Indore: Geeta, a young speech and hearing impaired woman who returned to India after being stranded in Pakistan for years, today reached Madhya Pradesh's Indore town.
She was accompanied by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot.
After landing in the town officials took her to an institution that trains deaf-and-mute people.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had on Monday said Geeta will be kept in the Indore institution for hearing-impaired people till her "real family" was found.
Earlier in the day, she took a ride on the Delhi Metro and visited the Metro museum in the heart of the capital. She also met President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the national capital.
Ms Geeta was about 11 years old when she crossed into Pakistan in 2003 by mistake.
Pakistan Rangers handed her over to the Edhi Foundation, a social welfare organisation that has looked after her since then.
