Visakhapatnam: The customs officials have seized two kgs of gold worth Rs 56.8 lakhs at the Visakhapatnam airport and arrested three persons on the charge of smuggling.
Commissioner of Customs B Hareram said the contraband was found upon the search of two domestic passengers on Wednesday.
The third accused, who was travelling on the flight from Dubai, handed over the gold to the other two who boarded the flight at Hyderabad.
All three were arrested and further investigation is underway, he said.
