Google Spreads Joy Of Holi Through Doodle

Google spreads the joy of Holi through its latest doodle.

New Delhi: Holi, the spring festival, is here and it's time for all to glorify it with colours!

Celebrated as a two day festival, Holi is full of fun and amusement. The first day of the spring festival is known as Holika Dahan or Chhoti Holi while the second day is known as Rangwali Holi, Dhuleti, Dhulandi or Dhulivandan.

Holi celebrations start on the night of Chhoti Holi with a Holika bonfire where people gather, sing, dance and party. The next morning is celebrated as Rangwali Holi where people pelt and attack each other with coloured power and water balloons.

Across the globe Holi is being celebrated since years, therefore to laud this occasion Google has come up with a vivid doodle. It is an animated doodle which has the Google logo written with pale yellow. Within seconds you see gusts and puffs of colour powder covering the logo in numerous shades of joy.

Click on the doodle and you are directed to the search page listing all the information on the festival of Holi.
