New Delhi:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has constituted a ministerial panel, headed by Defence Minister A K Antony, to examine the findings of the Shunglu Committee.
The Shunglu committee had probed alleged irregularities in the organization of the Commonwealth Games held in Delhi, in October last year, and submitted their findings. Examining the findings, the government panel will then point out lessons to bear in mind when organising future events.
Set up by the Prime Minister on October 25, 2010, the Shunglu committee - headed by former Comptroller and Auditor General V K Shunglu - has so far submitted six reports to the government on the Commonwealth Games.
