New Delhi:

There was a welcome change in Parliament on Friday as Sonia Gandhi and her Congress MPs applauded the Leader of Opposition  L K Advani as he supported the Treasury benches motion of thanks to the President.

"We want to start a new chapter between the Government and the Opposition. And make this century India's century," Advani said.

With his new deputy Sushma Swaraj by his side, Advani, however, showed his parliamentary debating skills are still formidable. His focus today was that a commission of inquiry should be set up on the Mumbai terror attacks.

The country has a right to know what went wrong, he said, suggesting a commission on the lines of the 9/11 Commission in the US.

However, Home Minister P Chidambaram said: "We studied the matter went into what went wrong and there is no mystery into the facts of the case. Why didn't the BJP order an inquiry after Kahndhar or Parliament?"
