Arun Jaitley On GST BillToday, there are many taxes imposed by both the Central as well as the state government on goods. These lead to a complex process and slows down the entire mechanism and this is why it is important to have a single tax.
In 2006, the government wanted that this tax starts in India from 2010... but that could not happen. But suggestions kept coming in.
