Gujarat Assembly Election 2017: Rahul Gandhi addressing voters in Gujarat
Rahul Gandhi - who is set to be Congress Presdient - lashed out at the ruling BJP over the new national sales tax, alleged corruption by Jay Shah and the "Gujarat model of development". Mr Gandhi is now campaigning in Gujarat for the second phase of Gujarat Assembly election. The state will go to polls on 14th December for the second phase. Rahul Gandhi today addressed rallies Tharad, Viramgam, Savli and Gandhinagar as part of Congress' Navsarjan Yatra. The Gujarat election campaign has seen the BJP and Congress levelling charges against the other. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a scathing attack, made stunning charges about Pakistan's role in the Gujarat polls, the Congress has attacked the BJP on issues of unemployment, electricity and the "Gujarat model of development". As part of his campaign trails, Rahul Gandhi, in a desperate attempt to strike a chord with the common man of Gujarat, had also stopped by at tea stalls in Gujarat and ate at roadside eateries in between rallies and meetings.
The counting for 182 Gujarat seats will take place on 18th December along with Himachal Pradesh which voted in November.

Hitting out at PM Modi's silence on the alleged corruption by Amit Shah's son Jay Shah, Rahul Gandhi says, "Narendra Modiji is scared of Amit Shah. He doesn't say a word on Jay Shah."
Criticising the new national sales tax, GST, Rahul Gandhi says, "PM Narendra Modi said black money will be brought back. Why did you give 50% of your money to Gabbar Singh?"
"Did Modiji talk about the floods? Did he say that he didn't give a penny for compensation? Modiji won't tell you that Rs. 33,000 crores can be given to Nano Factory, but no money for your child's education," Rahul Gandhi says attacking PM Modi.
"Narendra Modi says that he has decimated the Congress. Then, why do you talk about the Congress?" says Rahul Gandhi
"They (BJP) started with Narmada. People here said that we don't get Narmada water. This Gujarat model has failed," says Rahul Gandhi.
"Jaise picture flop hoti hai, waise hi BJP ki vikas yatra flop ho gayi. Gujarat ka chunav ho raha hai aur Modi ji kabhi Japan, Pakistan, Afghanistan ki baat karte hain.
