Ahmedabad:
In what is being seen as quite a significant election for the Narendra Modi Government, Gujarat is voting for six municipality seats today.
The BJP that holds all the six municipality seats is facing a tough fight this time given the significant number of rebel candidates in the fray.
In a bid to woo voters, Chief Minister Narendra Modi roped in party bigwigs like Nitin Gadkari and Sushma Swaraj for campaigning.
Also trying out an image makeover, Modi fielded a good number of Muslim candidates for the first time. It now remains to be seen whether these techniques do the trick for Modi in the upcoming assembly elections.
The counting for the polls is on Tuesday.
