Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda, and Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari have been included in the party's list of star campaigners ahead of next month's elections in Gujarat.
The status of a star campaigner is a given to crowd-pullers of parties whose expenditures on the campaign trail do not add up to the cap set by the Election Commission for candidates.
Gujarat BJP Chief CR Patil, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Union Ministers Arjun Munda and Smriti Irani have also made the list.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Madhya Pradesh's Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam's Himanta Biswa Sarma and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will also be star campaigners.
Names of former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel have been included as well. Both had refused to contest the election.
Bhojpuri singers and party MPs Manoj Tiwari, actor-politician Ravi Kishan and singer-politician Dinesh Lal Yadav 'Nirahua' will also be in the list.
