Ahmedabad:
As six crucial municipalities in Gujarat go to polls this Sunday, Chief Minister Narendra Modi has put all his might behind the BJP campaign.
In an unprecedented move, he has roped in senior BJP leaders like Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari to campaign for municipal polls in the state.
''The polling is on the third day of Navratri. Don't doze off. Don't get lax and think you will vote later. Just go out and vote for BJP,'' Modi told voter at a rally.
The CM doesn't want to take any chances because a good number of rebels are in the fray, and there is dissent simmering within the party over distribution of tickets.
So to even the negative forces out, he has brought in top BJP men to back his campaign of good governance.
''This government has done tremendous developmental work. Our party workers are part of this developmental success. We want to create a new milestone for good governance here,'' said National BJP President Nitin Gadkari at one of the poll rallies.
