Ahmedabad:
The Special Investigation Team has got the go-ahead to question Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the Gujarat riots case.
The Gujarat High Court has dismissed the petition challenging the Supreme Court's decision to hand over the complaint against Modi to the SIT.
The court says that since the investigations are being carried out under the Supreme Court's supervision, there's no need to entertain such a petition.
The Supreme Court had ordered the SIT to look into the compliant against Modi and 63 politicians and officials for their role in the Gujarat riots. The inquiry had been challenged by BJP MLA Kalubhai Maliwad.
