Gurgaon Teens Grabbed From Home, Gang-raped

Police investigating alleged gang-rape of two minor sisters near Gurgaon

Gurgaon: Two minor sisters were taken away from their home near Gurgaon and allegedly gang-raped by their landlord's son and his three friends on Saturday. All four accused have been arrested.

"One of the accused is a landlord of the victims who took the house on rent a month ago. They gang-raped the two sisters on Saturday night," Joint Police Commissioner Vivek Sharma told reporters.

The sisters, who are 13 and 16, came to live with their brother and his family recently in the house in Binola village, 22 km from Gurgaon.

They have told the police that on Saturday night, their landlord's son barged into their home with a few people, and after locking up the rest of the family, took the sisters away to a nearby building.

After allegedly gang-raping the girls, the attackers locked them up and ran away.

The sisters and their family were locked in the whole night and were freed only when neighbours found them next morning.

The family then went to the police. Four accused, Ram Avatar, 50, Ram Kishan, 45, Mantosh, 30, and Ombir have been arrested under a stringent law on sexual crimes against children.

The police say the accused men have claimed that the sisters accused them of rape because their family was thrown out for not paying Rs 800 as rent. A medical examination, however, confirmed rape.

The sisters have alleged that the landlord's son often harassed them. The police said their brother had complained to the landlord, which led to the attack.
