H1N1 vaccine trials start in India
New Delhi: Clinical trials have started for the first time in India for H1N1 vaccine. The trials for foreign vaccine Senofi used in European countries, starts today for 3 weeks in three cities - Chandigarh, Pune and Delhi. One hundred subjects in total will be tested.

Indian vaccines: Zydus Cadila have started the trials from December. Four Indian companies have been given permission to conduct trails but the other 3 are still to start.

According to what companies have said, so far each dose of Indian vaccine may be priced at 80-100 rupees each. Around 3-4 million doses of Indian vaccines will be available from April onwards.
