Hafiz Saeed takes cover behind Pak govt

Hafiz Saeed takes cover behind Pak govt
New Delhi: Just days after India handed over a new dossier on Hafiz Saeed to Pakistan, the JUD chief has given an interview to a Pakistani TV channel saying India has no proof against him in 26/11.

While it is advisable to be cautious in giving India's most wanted terrorist a platform, this particular extract is pertinent to the Indo-Pak talks, because in defence, Saeed quotes what the Pakistani Foreign Secretary had said about the dossier - that it's a piece of literature.

"After the Mumbai attacks, when I was accused, I asked India to prove it. Within half an hour of the attack, they began accusing me. Many dossiers have been handed over but none of them has any evidence against me. Even Salman Bashir has said in New Delhi that this is not evidence but literature," Hafiz said.
