Kaithal: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped while returning home after attending Independence Day celebrations at her school in Kyorak village in Haryana's Kaithal, police said today.
The class XII student was stopped by an unidentified man while she was on her way to home. Then a car stopped nearby in which three men abducted her by threatening her with knife, according to the complaint lodged with the police against Mohan, Saurabh and three unidentified accused.
She was taken to a house in Tik village where she was allegedly raped by Mohan while Saurabh was standing outside, Kaithal DSP (Headquarter) Tarun Kumar said. The girl raised an alarm and was rescued by villagers, police said.
A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered in Kaithal Sadar police station against the five accused, police said.
They said raids were being conducted to arrest the accused.
