Headley-Rana probe: Where it stands

New Delhi: Here's a look at where investigations into the David Headley-Tahawwur Rana terror links stand on Tuesday, November 17, 2009:

More than 20 investigating teams have fanned out across India, trying to unearth every possible link.

The National Investigations Agency (NIA) is focusing on how many people Headley, Rana met in India during their stay. Also how many people the two recruited and sent abroad for terror training when Headley was in India posing as an immigration agent.

The NIA teams are trying to pinpoint private homes where Headley, Rana may have stayed.

On Monday, November 16, Mumbai Police recorded the statement of the owner of the advertising agency that helped publish Headley's ads, looking for 'chefs'.

The FBI team will be in India on Wednesday, November 18, for two days, to string the events and all the findings about Headley and Rana.

The FBI has less than two months now to frame its charges against the two in the US court.
