New Delhi: The visas on David Coleman Headley's passport show that he visited India nine times from 2006 to 2009. His total duration of stay in India from 2006 to 2009 is of about 12 months. He visited eight times before 26/11 and once after.

His associate, Tahawwur Rana, also in custody in Chicago, was in India once before 26/11. He left barely five days before the Mumbai attacks.

Headley first visited Mumbai in November 2006. He flew into Mumbai eight times between November 2006 and April 2008. It is confirmed that he stayed at the hotel Trident in April 2007.

Headley visited Delhi in 2008, and also went to Agra where he stayed with the mother of a Chicago friend.

He was in Delhi again after the 26/11 attacks and stayed at the Holiday Inn in room 205 from March 7 to March 8.

He then shifted to the Anand hotel and stayed in room 40 from March 8 to March 10.

He also visited Kochi and Pune and Ahmedabad.

Headley also visited the Osho Ashram in Pune twice, once in 2008, and then in March this year.

Headley was last spotted in Mumbai in March 2009.
