New Delhi:
Baba Ramdev met Aviation minister and RLD chief Ajit Singh. He will be meeting Sharad Yadav later today.
Ajit Singh said after the meeting:
- Swamiji has been rasing the issue of black money
- People know about money stashed abroad - we agree that should be brought back
- Black money is also used in elections and that is a big problem
- Election Commission tried in the Lok Sabha polls, Assembly elections - but I think they have not been successful
- The govt has to deal with other countries, their laws... we are trying
- Babaji is making the people aware of the problem of black money
- It is not the question of a party
- The finance minister is trying... it is a big problem
Baba Ramdev said:
- We want a political consensus on this issue.
- We are meeting top leaders of all the parties.
- We want to take this movement from Gram Sabha to Lok Sabha.
- We met Sharad Pawar - we will meet all UPA constituents.
- We have requested the PM, Soniaji for time.
