Shimla: In the past 33 years, just 45 km of a 67-km-long road project have been completed in Himachal Pradesh, the assembly was informed on Tuesday.
Public Works Minister Gulab Singh, in a written reply, said: "Work on the 67-km-long Tattapani-Salapar road began in 1979-80. So far, 45 km of the road has been completed and the left-out work is to be completed after getting the forest department's clearance..."
The road connects Tattapani, the town known for hot water springs, with Salapar, where the Bhakra Beas Management Board's Dehar power house is located. Both towns are in Mandi district.
