Hindi Language India's Biggest Contribution To World: C P Singh

Ranchi: Jharkhand Urban Development, Housing and Transport minister Chandreswar Prasad Singh today said the biggest contribution of India to the world is that of Hindi language.

Addressing on the occasion of Hindi Diwas in Ranchi, Mr Singh said India is universal guru and one of its big contributions is Hindi language, an official release said quoting him.

Calling upon to take a pledge to promote and spread Hindi through use of the language, Singh said no other language in the world could take its place.

He also called for respecting the mother tongue and constantly try for its uplift.

Stating that the influence of English in the country could not be denied and that Hindi could not develop as it should have been, Singh called upon the people for a change in mindset for development of Hindi.

"We should observe every day as Hindi Diwas. Hindi is our National language. Even if it is slow, the language is growing. Hindi is being taught in Germany's Frankfurt University," he said.

Chief Information Commissioner Aditya Swaroop said if one desired to spread Hindi as a language, one has to take it to the people in its practical shape and avoid to make it difficult, the release said.

Nowadays, guardians were after English, but children should be taught Hindi first, he said.

Mr Swaroop also called for strict implementation of Hindi-related policies made by the Centre, the release added.
