Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited flood-hit Assam today to review the situation in the state. He is addressing media in Guwahati.

- People are satisfied with state action.
- It is a big challenge. I express solidarity with the family of the victims.
- Declaring flood as national calamity is not the solution of the problem.
- There is a need for a action plan to deal with such serious flood situation
- Centre will give full financial help to Assam.
- We are keeping an eye on situation in Aruncahal Pradesh also. An NDRF team has been dispatched to the state.
