New Delhi/Mumbai:
British Prime Minister David Cameron, who is on a three-day business trip to India, took some time out today to visit the Janaki Devi College in Delhi with actor Aamir Khan.
Mr Cameron dropped in for a Q&A session with the students. He is scheduled to go to the Rashtrapati Bhawan later in the evening.
He is also slated to meet with women who are a part of the Wings taxi service later, with Aamir Khan. The taxi service had earlier featured on the actor's show, Satyamev Jayate.
During his stay in Mumbai, after a day of hectic meetings in the boardroom with corporate honchos like Ratan Tata and Adi Godrej, Mr Cameron indulged in cricket at the Cross Maidan in the evening.
"I am very proud of the fact that I have been the prime minister for two and a half years and this is my second visit to India, because I want Britain and India to have a very special relationship," he said.
He also called for greater cultural cooperation between India and Britain as there are special cultural, historic and linguistic ties between the two countries which go back to many centuries.
Mr Cameron, the first English Premier to visit Mumbai in 20 years, offered India's financial capital help to realise its goal of becoming a world class finance and business hub.
"We want to tie up with India in so many different ways - with your culture, your companies, your business and of course with your people," he said.
