New Delhi: Not exactly the sort of passenger you might want on your flight. A businessman declared he had a bomb and would blow up the Jet Airways plane he was taking to Chennai, allegedly because he was exasperated with being put through multiple security checks.
His claims also ensured that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was moved to a different flight on Monday - her security overheard the remarks.
As the daughter of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Mrs Vadra, 44, is provided security through the Special Protection Group or SPG.
"All the passengers, cargo and baggage were deplaned and a thorough search was carried out," sources in the Central Industrial Security Force, which guards the airport, said.
