Ahmedabad:
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, might soon start to develop itself as a university.
The institute's Committee for Future Directions (CFD) recommended to the board on Friday that various other academic fields like law, technology and humanities should also be taught, as in a varsity.
The CFD has also proposed that faculty involvement be reduced to the minimum by restructuring the internal governance structure. If the board does agree to this, the Ministry for Human Resource Development will have much greater control.
