Ahmedabad:
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, has given the government a one-month ultimatum to accept its demand for world-class pay for faculty members.
Having rejected the new pay structure proposed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the premier management institute is now rallying other IIMs and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for an imminent stand-off with the government over this issue.
In an earlier memorandum to the MHRD, IIM-A had clearly demanded higher pay and autonomy.
