New Delhi:
In a meeting today, the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) will review whether Prometric should continue as CAT administrator, after large-scale glitches in the first computer-based Common Admission Test (CAT) across the country.
If they decide to not continue with Prometric, then the legalities of breaking contract with them will be discussed.
Also on agenda is whether to bring back CAT offline as MHRD wants IIM to bring back CAT in its old format.
A postmortem of what went wrong during CAT 2009 will be done as well along with a discussion on whether to format CAT as GMAT, running the test for the entire year, IIMs need to change admission timings and each of the IIMs' admission dates then need to be changed.
The report which is to be handed over to the Ministry will also be finalised.
CAT Committee chief, Prof Deodhar has been summoned by Directors' Forum to attend the meeting.
