A team of four donkeys drawing a new uber expensive Toyota Land Cruiser 200 - that was what the people in Surat saw last week when city-based businessman Tushar Ghelani launched an unique protest against his car dealer.
Mr Ghelani had bought the vehicle some days ago. But the car, which costs Rs 1 crore and above, soon started giving trouble, reported Mid-Day. The indifferent service provided by the dealer made matters worse.
Mr Ghelani rued that he had bought this car instead of a Nano. If he had bought the Tata car, he would have got the parts easily, he was quoted as saying.
The dealer did not wish to be quoted on the matter, but sources told NDTV that the car was in running condition and it was a "stunt" meant to pressurise the dealer.
The dealer had told the car owner that the vehicle would have to be sent to Mumbai since there were some issues in fuel indicator, but Mr Ghelani wanted immediate results, they said.
The Land Cruiser, manufactured by Japanese manufacturer Toyota, is used by actor Amitabh Bachchan and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
