As we approach the 75th Independence Day on August 15, it is a proud moment for everyone. This day is observed annually and has enormous significance as a celebration of the brave freedom fighters who fought for our independence and won it. Schools and other educational institutions usually organise a flag-hoisting ceremony. In keeping with the spirit of independence, people also paint their faces saffron, white, and green.
