Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the first day of his four-day visit to Malaysia and Singapore, said that India and ASEAN are the bright spots of optimism.
"We meet at a time of multiple global challenges. In this difficult, India and Asean are bright spots of optimism," PM Modi said in his address as the 13th ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)-India Summit got underway in Kuala Lumpur.
"ASEAN remains the the largest investment partner - both for inward and outward flows - but there is great potential for expansion," he said.
PM Modi will also attend the 10th East Asia Summit in Kuala Lumpur, tomorrow.
